Ava Phillips, our Education Director has been employed at the Synagogue for the past 12 years.  Her years of experience include classroom teaching, assisting in the Early Childhood center, teaching Special Education and Bar and Bat Mitzvah tutoring.  She received her Associates Diploma in Special Education, as well as a minor in Jewish Education in Montreal.

 

Ava's door is always open to parents and congregants and she'd love to hear from you.  Please call to make an appointment to see her or stop in anytime.  Her goal at Temple Beth Torah is for students not only to love learning but for them to want to make their synagogue "a home away from home."

Ava and her husband Jim have 2 sons, Nathan and Matthew.  The Phillips family resides in Plantation.
